We need a leveling up system

I am going to say it this way. Right now players do not level up. I know we have levels in different stats, but I have found that a person with 1 level in a stat and 40 levels in a state are nearly equal if they have the same gear and food. For that reason alone i am comfortable saying players do not level up and we should.

As of right now, player do not gain stamina, health or damage in any way sharp or form other than gear and food. Which makes any player that dies a level 1 player. It doesn't matter what level your skills are at if you loose all your food and your gear.

I think this could be fixed by either giving players a stat for health and stamina, or giving players an increase in heath and stamina the first time they beat a boss.

It is so frustrating to die and then have to try and claim your gear if you die in a burrow if you don't have extra gear. Before you tell me to make spare gear, you already know we don't have enough inventory space to pick up our old gear if we have new gear.

Simply having a basic leveling system that increases our health and stamina are needed in my opinion. A system that increases damage would be nice.

I agree, the whole corpse run death mechanic and losing stats i think is silly for this style of game but thats a whole other thing. There should be a very basic overall character level for sure

I mean, you are wrong. They aren't anywhere nearly equal. If one person has 1 in a stat, and another 40, with identical gear and food, that person with 40 is doing 40% more damage, running 40% faster, jumping 40% higher, and so forth.

I'm sorry, but millions of other players would disagree. This game is popular because the the way this game is designed, and I hope the developers keep there vision.

Food and potions help with hps and stamina. Some abilities you gain from boss kills will help the player. Using armor and weapons allow for better survival. Bows are great for a killing. When you get a decent shield, you can block troll attacks.

The biggest one is skill...learn how the game works and use tactics to get around problem areas.

I love grabbing some of my older gear and jumping into games with people who aren't as far along to help them, but even when I'm geared the same as them I still stick out like a sore thumb because of my skills. It's particularly obvious when a troll stomps up and while everyone is running for cover and readying their bows I just casually walk up and stab him in the nuts a few times with my spear and watch him crumple. Having an 81 in spears means that with a lvl 4 bronze spear I'm hitting at 140ish per normal attack and nearly 300 after a parry. The spear attacks fast so you can melt a troll in seconds with that kind of damage output.

Not sure if that was supposed to be sarcasm or not , but at faace value I completely agree. A lvl 80 character(skill) should have a much easier time with a troll than a lvl 1 or even lvl 20

It's me seeing humor and truth, good skill levels make a big difference. No sarcasm, I generally label sarcasm online since it's hard to detect.

My bow skill is lvl 100. My niece and I have the same gear and bow, and you can definitely tell that I shoot much, much faster. I personally like the skill system in its current state, and I love the very slow progression and I love the death penalty.

No, just no.

This isn't an MMORPG. Speaking of..I played EverQuest, on dial-up. Dying in EQ, Not only were you naked and have to do the same and get to your gear back off your corpse, you also had a time limit before your stuff would simply disappear.

On top of that, if you had just leveled and died, you lost a level and the new gear you were just wearing is no longer available until you get the level back.

You gain more stamina or health based on the combination of foods you use. You get more damage via a boss power, and by your choice of weapons and what particular mobs you are fighting.

People are so coddled these days. It's really fine as it is.

No. Stop Stop rolling games into a casual theme park. People like you have already ruined all the major franchises.
