I've had gobs spawn right next to a workbench in the middle of a farm field. Found a sliver of land right by the stone wall was not covered by a bench area. Too small an area for them to spawn into but enough to let them spawn inside the wall.

Not saying there isn't some new bug but at least it is something to check just in case.

I just had one spawn inside my base wall this morning. In 360 hour of playing never had that happen before. And there is another post of someone else saying wolves spawned inside his base. In think the latest patch introduced a small bug.

One thing that may be a possibility and no one mentioned.

It could be that the check for enemy spawns looks for an open spot. If it finds an open spot it can spawn in the enemies in a certain radius around that spot.

So the specific place they spawned my be "covered" by a bench. But they were able to spawn due to a small opening in the coverage area close by.

Just make sure all your base is fully covered/overlapped by bench radius markers without leaving even the slightest gap.

Not sure this is your issue but just something to check.

In my Base mobs spawn too, nixes, and they destroy parts of my base every time i have all full of workbenches and i dont have mods, somtimes they spawn in my mainbuilding inside

My wife and I have a fairly large base and with workbenches etc set around the place. We hadn't had a spawn of any kind inside for probably 50 in game days or more. Then one day I heard noises and found a skelly attacking some off our stuff inside the "no spawn" zone.

Killed the skelly and then wandered around the base for between 5-10 minutes before I found the one little spot that wasn't covered. When I say little it was smaller than a standard floor piece. Needless to say it's covered now and no more spawns.

The point of this is to say check, double check and check again to ensure every last inch is covered.

I haven't had any issues with spawning in my bases, but that doesn't mean there is not a bug that allows it sometimes.

Enemies will pathfind into your base if there is an open door or bridge, I suspect that is the issue with the skelly. They seem to spawn close to base a lot at night once that is triggered.

I had a base on a small plains island. I've placed workbenches and tried covering all spawns on the entire island. Not even getting spawns from events really. Once a troll attack was triggered and one troll spawned on a nearby island and tried to swim across. Other than that - not a single spawn inside once everything was properly covered.
Are you sure that they spawned "next" to your workbench and not in a non-covered area and then came to the workbench? I've had that a few times, then had to really find those "uncovered" spots and place workbenches there as well.

Not just workbenches, but torches, campfires, fermenters, kilns, windmills, and so on prevent spawns within 20m. I've had an island base for hundreds of hours completely immune to spawns/raids.
You either missed a spot or have a mod effecting things.

Quitoses spawned every two days near my tree house in a swamp close to Yagluth. My neibours are Yagluth and quitoses. Have to deal with it but it is still a very charming place.
