Dev's underwater shooting fixed?

Hello and Happy Belated Holidays! Question. Are the Dev's going to fix or change the way enemies can shoot or throwing things while in water? I seems unfair. I wouldn't have an issue with it if I was able to walk underwater and or swim and shoot/throw things. My friends and I were wondering if this will get fixed. The game is tough enough. :) Thanks for a great game!

You won't discuss because you miss the point. So you are just immature and rude.

When moving through the swamp we will hit water deep enough to unload our weapons and slow us to a slow walk or swim; yet, the Draugr chasing is able to move freely and use their weapon. This is the point.

We are not asking for the ability to walk through deep water or even use weapons in deep water. Devs, it would be nice to have an even playing field in such cases. Could you unload a mob's weapons, slow them down the same, drain their stamina.....

On the other hand, I don't want a mob healing as fast as I can.

So, maybe forget I said anything. I plan and play accordingly.

GREAT GAME! :cozyspaceengineersc::cozyspaceengineersc:

Pretty sure the draugr stuff is intended since they are undead, as other enemies swim in the water like the player. Draugr never swim, so they won’t be slowed down by the water.

Very good point. Lore will get me every time. Greyling also may have advantage in water since they are wood-based beings...and I assume they "float".

"Just don't fight on water" really doesnt help at all besides you if you like being a captain obvious.

I'm as vulnerable to confirmation bias as anyone*, but after hundreds of hours of play, I am fairly sure the game simulates depletion of mobs in an area. It would be easy to do using RNG techniques.

So if you're 15 hours in the game and you need to build a bridge in the Black Forest, go dwarf hunting. Look for spawners, and kill as many dwarfs as you can. After that, they will spawn only at the background replenishment rate and you should be able to finish your bridge.

*Verbose version of "imho."

They should at least be slowed down. Even if you didn't float and breath walking underwater would be extremely difficult. Just try walking through waist-deep water. There's also no bow powerful enough to shoot an arrow out of deep water with enough force to hurt anything.

It is a fantasy world where magic exists. That could easily explain why the Draugr can move and shoot through water. I mean it is their home biome. I personally like it.

Yeah, every single Greydwarf is a freaking Olympic gold-medal shot-putter once it's in the water. My boats take more damage from their stupid rocks...

Water alone, in the North, where Vikings lived is exceedingly dangerous due to the cold, and in this case attempting to swim in any armor, in cold water, and fighting should sap so much stamina you should die anyway.

Perhaps the answer here is, don't fight in the water.. that's my take on this.

I would like to see that fixed too, and also they should run out of stamina and start drowning if they swim more than 10 feet just like the player does.
