ahh, i see. I think i know what happened now

I use game pad because I play Xbox some also. I am left-handed and have always had mouse on the left side of of the keyboard. The key setup is for the left hand to be on the keyboard, the right hand on the keyboard just does not work for me. I tried to change the keys to have the setup pattern like that of the left hand but run into the comma, bracket keys that won't select in the key change. Still have to use keyboard to split items in inventory, but that not bad.

Spawn point = last bed you clicked on. You can only have 1 spawn point (bed) active at a time. Once you activate a new spawn point, the old spawn point is removed. If that last bed (current spawn point) gets destroyed somehow, other bed(s) will not automatically resume being a spawn point. You have to manually click on a bed to activate it.

Carry supplies to craft portal ( and keep a portal set up at home base) to avoid having to make beds out in the field and ending up resetting your spawn point. Any time you need to rest or sleep or even if you enter new biome and anticipate encountering harder mobs, place the portal somewhere safe nearby, and if you happen to die you will spawn at your base and have the means to portal back to collect your death statue without all the hassle of running back.

Spawn points are set by the current bed you have set for it. <read the raven Hugins tips>

If you have no bed set as your spawn point the game will spawn you at the stone circle you started the game at. That is your default spawn.

I use a hybrid system of joystick / mouse. Joystick replaces keyboard.
