NPC's
Be nice if we could hire/join NPC's to live and explore with.
Maybe some simple commands.
Forage , follow, scavenge, attack, defend , fish, collect Wood etc.
Would give a similar feel to a co-op.

Have you read the latest dev-blog yet? There's some info about what you ask for in it.

This is probably about a quest giver npc, but OP is asking for something different.

Will take a look, but yes I was referring to an NPC/s that could join your party, similar (but more limited of course) to a co-op player/s

+1. But also was thinking about a more static npc that you can hire to do work inside your base.
Like a dvegr mage would be nice to have him near galdr table to craft stuff for you if you give him mats or he/she generates a "gift" over time similar to the spouse system in skyrim. We need court wizards.

Agree, easiest would be to have commands to cover that as well.
As far as things like collect wood etc. , you would have to be able to specify a range. So collect wood - 500 for example,. Meaning don't start till 500 meters from base.
That way your NPC/s don't clear cut your base on you.

There would have to be a game defined Max distance as well. Otherwise you would have NPC's running all over the map.

I have them LOL !, Some :) but at my age they certainly won't be interested in or have time for Valheim sadly. Or any other game.
Not into co-op stuff anyways. for the usual reasons.

Hopefully they give it some thought at least. They could start small with same or similar commands you would give to your wolf , then expand from there.
