I did and the console works. I'm just trying to figure out how/if it's possible to spawn them with two stars so that I can tame them afterwards, or at least try (I got too frustrated with the way they run at dawn like vampires at the first glimpse of sun...).

spawn wolf [number of wolfs] [stars 1=0star, 2=1stars, 3=2stars]
spawn wolf 2 3

spawns 2, 2star wolf

You have to enable console in the launch settings first.
