Opinions on Development

The devs already got my money and no refund so there's that. I bought this game excited to see what would happen with it, but the extremely long delays between updates that add actual content to the game is too much. I've beaten the bosses, I've built my dream home, and now (personally) I feel as if I've hit a wall waiting for something new. The food update was cool ig, but that was that. There are a world of exciting mods and addons I can modify my game with until, you know, a random patch for localization is pushed out and breaks a few of em. Anyone else at this point?
inb4 locked thread or banned for not gargling hogs at what is done, I paid for the game, I am allowed an opinion.

Have to disagree. Early Access is quite similar to crowdfunding start up companies - only we actually got something in hand right away.

As for the op, playing something else for a bit is decent advice. I was playing DayZ forever and it got stale so I switched to Valheim. DayZ has now had a few decent updates and I've forgotten a lot of the minutiae plus a lot of that has changed. When I go back I hope it'll be a new journey.

Unfortunately that is the way of early access. I have had to start Raft all the way over after having almost the entirety of it done. It was disheartening, but necessary. So I understand you and the devs.

I think there are more than a few who feel as you do. I would maybe try playing a few other games until something new drops if doing other seeds with some challenge mode (like permadeath, nomap, no portal etc...) or playing again or building isn't an option to busy yourself until they can get something out.

You paid for an unfinished game and they delivered to you an unfinished game. They don't owe anyone more than that. I'm guessing you have many many hours in the game look at it as you've already gotten your money's worth and anything they end up adding as a bonus. Take a break and look at some other games and come back in 6 months or so and see what they added. Even if a new biome drops tomorrow its still only going to be a small amount of hours to complete it so its not like its going to add 100 hours of gameplay.

The mod community is super active and usually fixes them within a day, a week at most.

I get that waiting is lame but also... I have hundreds of hours in the game and I've enjoyed all of them. I can't really complain when what they've delivered so far is so enjoyable.

they could stop developing without consequence to them, but that's the gamble you take with early access
