Terraforming not saved properly

I'm trying to flatten a rather large area, however everytime I use a portal to get there, there are large holes or large bumps where it was perfectly flat.

Any idea how to fix this ?
Thanks !

just add dirt and reflatten, I wish we could turn on the block grid so we could see which blocks are full and which are not. I think each block consists of 4 chunks so you can have it be in 4 stages and the flatening tool can stretch blocks and if it stretches it from one extreme to another the terrain can become more cosmetic in areas rather than having actual collision and support.

I've tried already, and that's when bumps appear instead of holes... that seems to happen only upon teleporting

there seems to be a general issue with terrain since the update. I keep getting cliffside textures over flat sections of terrain.

If you used a mod to do flattening, besides hoe radius that is, you need to run the console command optterrain
If nothing was changed it will tell you, then there might be a bug.
