Bug in the Plains

Hey, guys! Your mystlands mob, the deathsquito, is incorrectly placed in my plains biome.

But actually, why isn't the final boss just two deathsquitos?

Ill never understand why people find deathsquitos to be such a problem, maybe if youre in swamp gear, just smack them before they touch you, does no one have basic timing skills?

Firstly, as mentioned already, the deathsquito is a plains mob. It has only 10 hp and (i believe) has a weakness to fire, or at least, from what I've witnessed, they explode when they get anywhere near a fire or bonfire, so I imagine you could kill them with a single hit from a torch, but almost ANY weapon will do.... and this is IMPORTANT.... Never try to run away from deathsquitos... They are too fast and giving them a free shot on your back is a sure-fire way to a nice gravestone (or collection of gravestones).

Deathsquitos have a predictable attack pattern, once agro'd they will fly in a straight line directly toward the player, and pause briefly before taking a shot on the player.

Shoot them with a bow as they fly straight at you, or prepare to block / melee and hit them when they reach you.

Pick up needles once it's dead.

They were supposed to be in the Meadows because Valheim was originally going to be a survival horror game.

They have so little health I've seen a deathsquito fly too close to a campfire and die from burning.

It's a shame the plains are so deadly. I really think it's a pretty location to build a home.

Before I reached the smoke limit in my base, I had deathsquitos attempt the death-star trench run down my chimney, and they smoke would kill them, lol.

Go back to the swamp and get a root chestpiece for pierce resist. That will hold up well in the mistlands too when you get there. But watch out for fire.

Yeah, ok. I'll bite on the off chance that you're not just being facetious.

The deathsquito is a Plains mob. Always has been. :)

They're easy to kill - only take one hit. Very squishy. You just need to watch out for them and be aware of the buzzing creeping up on you. Block, slash, done.
