Just finished the Queen boss fight in ML. I'm curious as to how many people didn't use magic or use 'cheese-it' methods. Absolutely no mods. Is there a way to straight up go melee combat against the Queen in this fight (no magic, not even the prot staff)? Solo preferred.

On that last note I believe this fight is preparing players for the expanded addition of magic in later installments. I died somewhere around 20 times fighting Queen-ie before realzing the Protection Staff is a requirement to fight her. Once I had brought the staff in and found my own way to cheese (top left stairs / pattern and lob fire balls) it was a matter of attrition at that point and how well I could stay aware of the mobs.

Anyhoot it is a fun and unique fight compared to the others once you understand what to do.
