They just updated the game a month or so ago. They have a road map showing the future updates. Unlike some EA games they are putting out large patches instead of a bunch of small ones like some games. They also seem to do a petty good job at working out bugs beforehand, compared to most other dev teams.

Also your logic that you beat the games equals the devs have abandoned the game is flawed at best.

Or start a new game each time and find the zen of progression. Then when they make changes you can do it all over again!

Well, you can start looking at mods, there are some filler mods that populate the empty biomes up and add a bunch of bosses.

Vanilla, ya, its dead.

There's also a mod that increases the whole raid your base aspect into sort of a tower defense thing (because it can get so intense), which is way better than the biome populations imo. But both are really good.

Devs of the game wise tho? Ya not so much. Better trust in mod community at nexus than checking for new things here.

Oh so obviously you came here to argue in bad faith, understood and reported.

They actually are working on the game, it's just not a corporate rate of progress, more a hobbyist rate. Which is fine, I've more than got my moneys worth from the game even if they abandoned it six months ago.

It's frustrating to watch though because they hit mix of survival, atmosphere, and builder that's bottled lightning. And they're kind of pulling the stopper out and knocking it over for anyone that can out produce them.

Have you sailed around to all the land masses and explored every part of the map? Have you cleared all dungeons? Have you built in all biomes? Have you seen the biomes? How high are you skill levels? Are you a animal farmer/tamer/master (however you want to word it) yet? There is stuff to do, you just have to want to do it.

I think if you just want to fight bosses this is the wrong game for you.

Also, maybe try a server with people on it. There are people advertising all the time to join their servers. Maybe playing with people will spice it up for you. Turn on PVP ... see how DEAD it is then.
