whats wrong with mistland?

the first time i played this game, it felt so magical, exploring areas, the scenery is just beautiful also discovering trees can actually kills you, its awesome, figuring out how building works etc, i loved everything this game has to offer, i played this game since day one and excited for the mistland update, i waited for years just to realize that it isnt what im looking for, mistland felt so rushed, its hard to see anything, there's no sense of exploration at all, even the mob are not optimized, you cant hear them until they close enough, worst thing is you cant really see them.

for me the joy of valheim is to look at the beautiful world. i remember the first time i enter the forest, and looking at the lighting the where blue and the yellow lights meet its so beautiful, no game can top that in my opinion, but at the long awaited update, mistland, all that feeling was nowhere to be found

but thank god we got a fishing hat (?)

Vision, highly over-rated. Being blind in a video game, the new cool thing. Now all games are going to want players to be blind, especially those with beautiful scenery. Gotta adapt, man, gotta wanna be the cool kid who can't see enemies, or scenery, or where you were, or where you are going. Rolls Eyes /s

You're saying it like Valheim invented dark rooms, blindness conditions with actual visual effects, or obscuring weather. As much as there is cause to give credit to the game, that's not part of it, no matter how much you roll your eyes about (be careful they don't come out).

There is nothing wrong with mistlands. You just know the game now, know how it works, how it looks, what to do. You can't forget and discover the game again.
Mistalnds is another biome, it is not a complete overhaul of the whole game. I keep seeing posts like this and I'm confused what are people expecting from updates.

It is worth noting that the game released into early access 2 February, 2021, you can't have waited that long.

I don't totally disagree, but the exploration of ML is its one strong point. You pretty much have to track a grid pattern to check every inch for a mine and for a while, skulls. You have to explore every nook, unlike the plains where you can climb a rock and see where to go from max draw range.
