Spawning mechanics on small patches of a biome?
So I found a large swamp area, and thought I'd make a small temp base in one area. But that area is a VERY TINY patch with the Plains biome, with the rest of it quite far away across the ocean.
I have been observing it for a bit, but only swamp mobs has spawned nearby so far. Is there ANY chance of plains mobs spawning there?
We are talking about an area that is no more than perhaps a 20x20 wood floor.

Yes there is a chance!
I learned that the hard way.

Same! But I figured if I spam enough workbenches then the entire area will be covered, and nothing will spawn :D Yes there is a chance!

Near my meadows base is a very small patch of Black forest with few fir trees and one tin.
Last time I came back home, a troll had spawned just there.
As I have moats, it didn't bother me, but I had a big scare when it emerged from the trees.
