The fps starts to drop as you play the game. It's very annoying
As you play the game in Valheim, the fps starts to drop. It's very annoying.

This was the single largest problem playing with our large group. If we build together the lag builds at X times # of people about. So by the time we all had a little farm it was pretty horrible.

I'm just playing this one game using Nvidia's virtual servers rather than wrestle with optimisation hacks, it's not the kind of title where frames of input lag matter and mods don't feel vital at this stage.

Screen shots and rig spec's! !
I'v been building on my seed for nearly 900 game days. I have a huge castle that starts out on a large hill and complete envelopes a pine tree (I used it for support).
I also have a long road leading away from my castle with various buildings made along the way that ends at a huge flattened (terraformed) beach i crteated to land serpents). That beach has about 100 tier 2 wolves. There are probably 100 wolves along the road as well.
The only time curse the game is when that damn autosave kicks in otherwise my frame rates are fine. My rigs probably 3-4 years old rocking a gtx1080ti.

Valheim is unplayable, works very very BAD, FPS 8 - 10. There is no way to fix this deficiency?
8-10?, look even in my biggest project, and i mean that is a massive build with multiple large structures on a homemade island, i still get around 22 ish fps, and i don't even have anything that special of a laptop. 8-10?, you need an upgrade dude.

I have a Lenovo Legion 5, the older model with the GTX 1660 TI (perhaps the last raster card that will ever be made). For me, the game plays smoothly but for an occasional pause when motion-blurring is turned on. It's not annoying enough to turn that or any other settings down.
Since ray-tracing cards are the newest rage, you may be able to find a laptop like mine on ebay for not too much.

Usually it involves getting better hardware. Some optimisation could perhaps be made during the development, but depending on what causes your issues, it's tough to tell how far it will get you. Valheim is unplayable, works very very BAD, FPS 8 - 10. There is no way to fix this deficiency?
What kind of PC are you playing on?

i made a castle Yeah it slowly drops over the hours. Exit game and load back into it to restore some FPS again.
You also lose performance the more you build in one area.

i will try thanks Yes, it can be. Turn shadows down. Don't terraform too much in one area, keep it to a minimum. Try Vulkan mode. Tweak some of your other graphics settings. Try hitting alt-enter twice (goes to windowed, then true fullscreen mode) as that can help some people with FPS issues.
