What happened???
Don't know what happened with this game but when it first came out it was fun now it just isn't worth playing. I guess they sucked everyone in to paying money now they just don't give a crap about making the game better.

The game is good and new update is also good but the decline of Valheim is due to not having much content. After the game released in February and till H&H there was no updates to make the game fresh. Can the players bounce back? depends how much content they will put into the game or maybe its to late.
Games in which i invest more than 500 hours are really rare. Valheim is such a game!
So why do you write Valheim has "not much content". Thats not true.
Listen dude i will not judge to much, for you maybe its enough for the majority its not and i am not saying this just for sake to say something, look at the steam charts how much Valheim lost player base, its heavy and further i did ask some people why they stopped playing including my friends they all say the same lack of content, don't get me wrong I enjoy this game and my money is well spent but I expect more.

Those who whined and cried about it may have moved on to better games like Hello Kitty Adventures or Farm For Your Life. ;)
There is no reason or justification for such statements, the player has problems and should be taken seriously, whether you like it or not.For the rest of us, we just have to keep reporting bugs, making suggestions, and expressing constructive criticism in the hope that the developers will stay open-minded as they develop their game.
This does not apply to the "rest of you", it applies to all players, including those you disagree with and whose opinion you disagree with.
You may have misunderstood my reaction to Tiny Rick specifically.
You make a few excellent points about my post, in an objective point of view IF I was responding to someone who was making constructive criticism about the game. So in this regard, I graciously accept your rebukes. ♥
However, specifically in regards to Tiny Rick's statement, he makes absolutely no constructive criticism and states in his own words, "I guess they sucked everyone in to paying money now they just don't give a crap about making the game better."
Simply put, he didn't deserve not to be ridiculed. You don't have to agree with me. Not everyone is worthy of being coddled for their absurdities. ;)

Everything is limitd by imagination. But why would you play a game at all when you can lie in your bed and imagine everything Valheims content is only limited by your imagination.

Totally off topic: is that a picture of a woman's backside, or just very smooth sand dunes? ^_^
Of course its a sand dune. :)
But it could also be my way to test how far the technology has developed about the prudish american censorship policy.
But as i said, its just a pupped with photoshop hills.
^_^
I am a bit disappointed though. Haha. As you can probably tell, my picture aren't sand dunes. So far, no prude has reported my avatar. Though I surmise it's just a matter of time.

Nothing happened. The game is still fun. H&H made me play for another 150h now.
Why is it no fun to you anymore?

I find that this view point gets tossed around a lot when things don't get people's way. It's immature and petty.
Clearly, people like Mr.X and I exist that actually like the H&H update. I've clocked 100+ hours post-H&H. Also, none of my players (7 of them) have made any complaints about the new patch and actually enjoy it.
Regardless, this topic has been spoken about constantly in the first week after H&H came out. Those who whined and cried about it, have perhaps moved over to better games like Hello Kitty Adventures, or Farm For Your Life. ;) For the rest of us, we'll just have to keep reporting bugs, make suggestions and give constructive criticism in hopes the developers will keep an open mind in evolving their game.

Something happened? I've started a 3-man coop on H&H, and we're having a great time. Everything that have changed for me i more content.
OP is as devoid of essence as it can be.

Absolutely NOTHING other than new content has been added and fixes/balances. The game is much better now than what it was when I bought it.
They are continuously working on the new patches and the next big one is around the corner in 2022 if I am not completely mistaken.
Stop playing if it's not interesting, wait new updates. This game is one of those rare occasions where the money put into it is definitely not wasted, there are way too many "Early Access" bs going around due to Steam neglecting their duties who gets to put their games on this platform and who does not.

One day people will realize that virtually nothing changed about the game and they just weren't critical enough when they played the game in the first place to realize that it didn't really get better or worse.
YES, you can still parry trolls and 2-star draugr with biome-appropriate gear.
NO, fishing mechanics didn't change.
NO, food doesn't really take more grinding than before (except onions initially, heh)
YES, stamina was perceptibly different, but ONLY for a handful of days in September.
If the game feels better or worse than before then I'm sorry to say that you're probably imagining that. Honestly the single best "feature" of the update for me so far is that it's just running better.

i cannot share your point of view - they maybe shifted the roadmap a bit
but for me it shows that they care about what they are doing and so stuff may roll out a bit slower
its still in development
i liked it before the update
i like it right now
and whats next? we will see

the only game affecting change has been blocking is different, you can't just stand behind your shield and ignore everything now. Otherwise, all cosmetic and fun stuff.

No - that's not the reason - it is the changes in the H&H update that are causing problems for some players, because the changes are more suitable for server and CoOp mode than for the single player. I guess they got everyone to pay money, now they just don't give a ♥♥♥♥ to make the game better.
In H&H there is now food that gives significantly more stamina and food that gives significantly more HP.
The food for HP is supposed to help players withstand more damage, the food for stamina is supposed to enable the player to do more damage. The difference is more important in the single player because there is only 1 neutral food and that is the ham strips. They give you +23 HP and +23 stamina.
In the single player this can lead to an imbalance that some players simply cannot cope with at the moment.
note that this point of view gets swirled around a lot when people don't like things. It's immature and petty.
No - it is not immature and petty, it is of course the consideration with Early Access games, since it has also happened often enough that games were simply given up in Early Access. Therefore a statement like, the game is not a justification for everything until early access.
However, I have to agree with you that one cannot say that Irongate does not want to improve the game any further. However you should - it's all good as it is player - understand that this only applies to you and that that doesn't mean that you can't disagree on some points.
, there are people like Mr.X and me who actually like the H&H update. I measured more than 100 hours after H&H. Also, none of my players (7 of them) have complained about the new patch and are actually enjoying it.
The whole thing here has nothing to do with whether you like H&H or not, and not necessarily how long you played Valheim after the H&H update, but with how strongly you perceive the changes. And when I play with 7 others on a server, the effects of H&H are completely different than in single player mode. One should never forget that.
, this topic was constantly discussed in the first week after the publication of H&H.
This will also be talked about a lot until the changes in H&H are balanced so far that the players can cope, regardless of whether they play online or in single player mode.
Those who whined and cried about it may have moved on to better games like Hello Kitty Adventures or Farm For Your Life. ;)

The game is good and new update is also good but the decline of Valheim is due to not having much content. After the game released in February and till H&H there was no updates to make the game fresh. Can the players bounce back? depends how much content they will put into the game or maybe its to late.

It usually takes about 6 months to get new hires up to speed and that was in the before times. When the fist real content update drops (new biomes & bosses etc) I hope some of you take a second to reflect on the entitlement put on display in some of these threads.

Tbh Valheim does not have currently that much content. It's just taking time to do everything and grind resources. But overall it has very little content as of now. Once the rest of the biomes are added with their enemies and POI's, that's when I would say it has quite nicely content. The game is good and new update is also good but the decline of Valheim is due to not having much content. This game is easily run through in 100-130 hours if you take no rush.

Valheims content is only limited by your imagination.
Really? 100h fun is not much content for a 17 dollar game? That's just cheeky ...

I would go as far and say no it isn't. There is plenty of limitations. Valheims content is only limited by your imagination.
