Can't use F with mods on

For the last couple months I've been having this problem with mods where something is interfering with the "F" skill. I've gone through every mod looking at all the codes and everything trying to figure out what is blocking the F from working. Even when I remap the button to a different it still doesn't activate.

Taking a long shot and seeing if anyone has used these mods and have fixed this problem. I don't really want to take any mods out and I've spent far too long trying to disable mods to figure out what mod if making the F not work.

If you have any help please post; taking that small chance that someone knows what I am having a problem with.

Why would you go though ever code? Why not just disable each mod or disable them in groups of 2-4 to see which cluster is doing it?

Here‘s how you do it:
Disable half of them: F works? Re-enable half of the disabled mods and repeat.

This way you whittle down the offending mods in no time.

Or just get rid of all of them. Vanilla‘s the best! 😁

I have many times.

Nothing is mapped to F in all of them, and even when I switch the F ability to a button that isn't used it still doesn't work.

Before I start disabling them one by one and launching over and over I was hoping someone had this problem and would know what mod is causing the F skill to not work anyore.

enable console in bepinex (or open the unity log file) and check if any mods throw any error.

Is F the boss skill? I've remapped a bunch as a lefty. Mine isn't working either but the only mods we share are Valheim+ and BepinEx. With V+ it might matter which things are active too.

I've also got FarmGrid, Dodge on Double Tap, and Valheim Backups active. Don't remember all the inactive ones off the top of my head, but none of them are on your list.

Edit: It wasn't the mods, unless something unmapped my key. My F skill went back to being F. Lefty problems.

You probably already know that ValheimPlus uses the F key for one of the build free rotation orientations…if u enabled that in the config but I can’t see how that would cause the issue you are having. You also have some duplicate mods like torches eternal that are not needed if u have that enabled in ValheimPlus as well. Always good to remove duplicate mods just in case. Good luck!
