The Dead Below
Found a runestone in the Plains:
"Beneath the ground are the halls of men and women long since gone, ancient tribes who lived in Valheim even before the Allfather turned his eye upon this place. Delve deep to find their treasures but beware, some amongst them do not yet know they are dead"
Seems to suggest an underground, and an account said something about a nearby cavern. Didn't find anything, in the dark at least, except a lot of skeletons in the middle of the Plains. Anyone have an idea--spoiler-less--of what this is about?

Yes, the fallback to using iron for linen armor seems misplaced.

If there is a Plains dungeon, it seems no one has found one.

its also fun how we are all dead but then there are draugers and skeletons that are people that died, then died again and now are currently dying by us
You're dead right....and you're dead, right? But what about your dead rights? And your dead rites?

So a tribe can't be organized and ambitious? What kind of backwards thinking is that? It sounds like referring to the skeletons. The draugr are remnants of a more organized and ambitious people than what I'd consider "tribes".

I wonder if there isnt meant to be a dungeon in the plains. Remember we have the weirdness of using iron for the linen armor? They might have cut it in the interest of releasing, but it wouldn't seem out of place to me that there would be another delve in the plains that gave you a different sort of metal for linen armor, or perhaps it's the intended source for black metal and they gave it to the mobs as a temporary solution. Undead fulings (tribal by the way) could be kinda scary. Perhaps they were also larger and degenerated to the short ones you encounter now. Yaggluth would be the largest of the original size (perhaps more like the berserkers). I also find some of the structures in the plains to be kind of purposeless. The large henge and the low narrow stone building are prime examples. The stone one kind of seems like it could be a crypt entrance and is definitely not the current fuling build style.

Well they would respawn too, but we keep blowing up their spawners

I've only seen this one in the Plains, however.

The consensus opinion from most sources seems to be that this refers to the Draugr. Still, left to wonder why I suddenly encountered a swarm of skeletons near the runestone out in the Plains. Maybe I'll find out eventually.

I wouldn't be surprised if they're just meant to spawn there. Several online sources list only Black Forest and Swamps as places with skeletons, but you can also find them at special rock formations in meadows and ruined towers in the mountains.

I'm pretty sure it references the draugr or skeletons in crypts that are found in the black forest.

It likely refers to the burial chambers in the black forest

I assumed it just referred to swamp crypts where iron is
