I've seen the most piggies around the abandoned villages that have raspberries growing in them.

There is a solid chance of spawns at boar stones. It may never be as nice as the ensure 5+ the first time, but revisits often have several around it for me. Rarely, nothing after the first go.

The best bulk farm for boar I have done to date was simply to build on the edge of the plains. The plains guys play whack a mole with the deer, boar, lizards, and now night spawns of dwarf, skeleton, and whatever else wanders in. You do have to be home at night for this to really pour on the free loot, but all you have to do is pick it up.

I don't think you can get star level boars to spawn within 800 meters of world center.

In general, find a spot that has a few boar spawns or at the very least a mix of spawns with boars as well. In some cases, spawns seem static (ie 1 type of creature spawns at that respawn spot like necks in a creek or the like) In other cases they can see to be a semi random rotation or what spawns in that spot and depending on certain conditions(rain spawning more necks etc).

Once you find the spot kill everything, leave the rendering distance and come back in a bit when there are respawns, rinse and repeat until you get your 2star boar. It may take days of in game time but if boars spawn the chance will come.

There's some increase in starred creature probability further out from the world center, and possibly a central region with zero chance. Find a meadow as close to the edge as possible.
