Hearth and Home, is this it?
Alright, the game plays better, it's a big more difficult too, which is good but so far, there's barely anything new. I haven't killed the first boss yet, just started but on my way there, I was hoping for new plants, new building parts. All I've found is deer meat and 1 new building component.
I haven't read the notes, I know they're right there for me to read but I really want to discover the new stuff on my own but from what I've read on the forums, there's not much to discover.
Still going to give this a try.

lol man , not all comes in tier 1 of meadows , new content it most for mountain and plains tier
you need to gather more advanced materials to see new buildings , not just wood stone or flint

There's about a dozen new foods but the bulk of the update is rebalancing weapons and food. Tower shields are better, bows aren't quite as OP, knives and two handed axes got a buff. There's a couple more weapons, but it's more about refining the content that already exists vs adding more.
The next update is going to be mistlands, and more to what you're interested in.

If you start a new seed, you will see the new content gradually over time because a lot of things require you to improve your character and get past certain bosses. But that is really an artificial stretching out of the new content. If you start from your old world like I have, in a few days you will have done the majority of the content. I have already built most of the new things you can build, crafted most of the new items you can craft, made most of the new food you can make.

If you're still in the meadows you won't see much. Get into a few more biomes and you'll start to see more of the new content. Yeah, they didn't add as much as some people wanted but they certainly added more than some people complaining on the forums might make it seem. It's just the first of several content updates. Patience, young one. Patience.
