That's true. So things might be more varied in effects, which would be nice if you prefer a specific effect. I know I would have liked more hp/time foods that give an effect somewhere between existing foods and Mead.

I thought the general plan was to specialise foods for different tasks/playstyles rather than buff or nerf anything across the board.

I just do mass hunting the only food i use if LoxPie, BloodPudding and Fishwraps. hardest thing for me if the keeping enough barley flour on hand. i have a farm field in the plains that yields 2K barley at a pop. i replant with 1k and mill the other 1K into four. That is only the real time suck in my food production.

You are asking questions that none of us know, and the people who DO know (the Devs), are not going to reveal anything until the update hits.

You have to wait and see, just like the rest of us.

I'm also worried that if you want some foods you may have to raise animals in order to have enough. Unless the up the drops in wolf and boar meat.. it is going to be rough.

Apparently it was reported by the dev or mods that existing raw meat will convert to boar meat.

I tried to raise some wolves for the first time and I'll just say I dislike the whole wait around thing. I don't mind clicking on rocks since I am actively doing something but the animal raising thing is just torture.

And the drops kind of suck. A bunch of one star boar don't really produce enough meat for the wolves. The one star wolves don't seem to drop much either. Maybe together they could sustain just the wolves but we are going to want enough from each of them to make food out of.

If they don't raise the drops then you will pretty much need to breed two star wolves just to get enough wolf meat drops to cook with.

i hope they balance it out well. Personally I would rather just kill stuff than breed it.
