Yagluth is too OP for solo runs

I have max everything with Frostner. The buffs don't matter, the fire potions don't matter, there's just simply not enough stamina to compete with him solo. It's not fun at all. I've had to go back to base 5 times to repair and by the time I get back all the damage I've done is restored. I've gone through 3 Fire Potions and 9, yes 9 stamina potions because with the best stamina food there's simply not enough to evade his attacks and attack him (he has no cool down from his meteor storm to his fire breath, meaning that 30 second long attack combo of his depletes all your stamina since you can't block or parry). I've even tried running Eikthyr, it helps, but only for 5 minutes then it's over.

I appreciate a challenge, but not everyone of us is a sweaty try hard. This is just stupid.

agreed Silver sword lvl 4, fire potion, serpent stew, blood pudding, lox meat pie, 18 min rested buff, some med stam pots, and Bonemass buff. solo'd no issue even getting a pack of fulings, avoid his fire breath and meteor and go in for as many hits as you can, stay out till your stamina is at full again, time his 2 attacks then go in with full stamina and attack then defense, rinse and repeat. GL!

I just wish I could find the damn boss. I've searched idk how many plains biomes, across a massive swathe of me world, have like 40 totems from clearing villages but never a runestone lol.

As with other bosses, he gets stuck in one spot eventually. I just kited him with a bunch of arrows from behind the large stones after he stopped moving.

Used Bonemass, fire pot, Darkmetal sword+Padded armor solo :/ I didn't terraform or anything but I did hide behind the finger columns during the meteor thing.

Okay, this is how i killed him
-Full padded armor
-frostner (yes it is perfectly viable)
-fire potion
-medium heal potion
-medium stamina potion
-bonemass buff (which i didn't even use)
-Serpent stew
-Lox pie
-Blood pudding

Just smack him, his attacks are very predictable, when he is using his meteors.... just walk away, they miss. Don't run, don't jump, don't dodge, just walk away. His fire breath is only used from a distance and his flame wall thingy does abysmal damage with a fire pot. There ya go, you've won.

Frostner works fine. Attack the crap out of him until your stamina gets low, then run around the rocks and recover….. repeat. I actually found him to be one of the easier bosses.

Porky mace is also a good viable option. He has a sequence you can exploit. Don't get greedy with hitting him. Hit and run, hit and run. You can also terraform/build a little to shape the terrain and control the fight a bit better.

Good luck.

You can terraform A LOT. You'll appreciate the cover if you have raised-land walls all over the place that you can dodge behind and between. I am NOT a good melee fighter but I managed to trash this guy by exploiting the terrain formation tools. He isn't a Fuling; he's big and clumsy. Use that against him. Oh, and build walls around the area of the fight as well, and place workbenches to suppress spawns, to make sure that he doesn't get any help from his little friends during the fight.

Frostner is made of silver. The actual trick is to use bonemass buff, pop fire , have stamina and med heal on hotkeys, then rush him and face tank him into the ground. Takes a few minutes. Also you should have eaten Serpent stew , blood pudding, and lox pie. And you should have arrived in the morning and cleared the area first.

I died more to Yagluth than all the game combined! And every time you die you lose stats.
After awhile I just gave up. Can't remember what weapons I was using. Been awhile since I tried. Might give the game another go once the upcoming patch goes live. In the meantime, checking out some other games.

wth i did it in 1 go. i even used my porcupine cause i forgot to bring my frostner. i used 1 fire potion and 1 stamina and bonemass power. i killed the boss in ~5min bonemass power was just running out. i ate 1 serpent stew, 1 lox pie and 1 blood pudding. didnt even bothered to dodge the meteors just stick to him and hit him, pause sometimes for stamina.
remember to clear the area of mosquitos and fulings before starting. also was wearing my lvl 4 paddad full armor with cape.
check the video on valheim wiki. it was the easiest boss.
the porcupine was almost spent but it lastest.

HMM I may have to make a silver sword because I am finally ready to tackle Yag myself once I find his location(finally got 5 totems). I was gonna go at him with the Frostner as well but it seems that may not work. Any other tips?
