New game started weird
I've been away from the game for several months and I've missed that last couple of updates. I just started a new game and off the bat I had the Eikthyr ability. Does this mean I can't summon it? So far I've made it into the Black Forest and gotten a map maker for the Elder but I never got one for Eikthyr. I need the pickaxe. What do I do?

Update: Ok, I wasn't paying attention and I started a "new" game on an old world. I ran across a base I had built with a character from a previous run. Does this mean that my current (the new) game doesn't have the updates?
Mistland biome will only properly generate in unexplored areas, so can work on old worlds.

Thank goodness. The vast majority of the current world is unexplored and I would have hated to waste all that time and have to start again. I also wish I knew that before I started again but I can live with that.

new game meaning what?
your old viking in a new world still has all his powers, but he can't change them at the new world's stones until he hangs the heads.
a new viking in a new world should not have any powers.
the location of the first boss is found AT the standing stones, its a small location stone right there.

You can summon bosses multiple times. However, you should start the game with Eikthyr vegvisir right where you enter the game.
