Trash goes in the bin

I made a creative roleplay way to get rid of trash. Take your trash filled cart/trailer to the Dump.

I walled off some shallows with a weigh bridge to destroy your cart on, open the gates and then the boxes fall down 45 degree roofs into the dump. I also placed workbenches so the boxes don't disappear. Can't wait to see the dump fill up.

I'm having fun collecting rubbish now lol.

early days yet filling the dump up. could go a step further and put up some signs and weighbridge document signs where you record your load weight and how many boxes dropped off on todays date. lol

Well there's always the edge. Might get expensive, logistically speaking.

There is already a simple way to destroy items, no need to add a further action and have people complain they accidentally destroyed something like they do when they hit craft instead of upgrade.

Basically do what humanity has done forever, chuck trash somewhere remote/into the water and forget about it (except no longer term consequences in game, and you won't find dead Necks washed up and strangled by tossed out rags).

Any loose items left outside Player Base Radius
( https://valheim.fandom.com/wiki/Player_base ) will despawn within a couple days.
Anything dropped into 2m+ deep water despawns much quicker.

That’s hilarious. Love it. I just toss in the water outside of bench radius. It eventually despawns… I think

Funny in theory, but in practice will just tank your FPS. I feel like if we had a way to destroy items there'd be fewer threads of people complaining about low FPS caused by throwing all their garbage away at their base where it won't despawn.
