Thanks! Even an upgraded iron mace takes an inconvenient amount of time to beat down a Wraith. The first time I survived a Wraith attack was more satisfying than my first hand-to-hand Troll kill.

4 playthroughs, have never seen a wraith trophy. Lots of drake trophies, which some people seem to have despaired of.

I get tons of chains but I like doing sunken crypts. I have done about 12 so far this time and am sitting on over 30 chains. Last crypt had 7 chains scattered in various chests, a bonanza.

Have found that the only time I ever get a daytime wraith is my first wraith of a run through. Think it's on purpose to familiarize us with them before night attacks. I could be wrong but that's been my experience. Trophies so rare. If you get one, quick go get a lotto ticket.

Took this one with an upgraded bronze atgeir. Stagger keeps low-level characters alive longer.
I have always found enough chains in chests in the Crypts for bellows and other things. Guess it varies with luck.

An upgraded bronze mace secondary after a parry will 1-shot them easily.

Wraith do inhabit some buildings in the swamps, and will come out during the day, but once you kill them they don't spawn there again.

You got lucky. It's not easy to find chain now. I probably have 3 more nights of wandering around swamps to finish by BM shield upgrades.

And if you happen to get a wraith trophy in the process, buy yourself a very good cup of coffee. They are supposed to drop in 1:20 wraith encounters but in my latest playthrough I think I had nearly 50 wraith chains and no trophy.
