My buddy got it for me and I have put in damn near 50 hours in like 3 weeks.

I cannot stop playing this game, even when I reach endgame I start a new seed. Part of its appeal is you make your own adventure, you set your own goals, you can be creative with building and figuring out logistics. Many comical and epic moments, just hits me in the feels that no other game does.

1000 hours and i still enjoy running through the forest, dropping into a crouch to hunt a deer. or when a berzerker comes stomping out into the grassland while i am surrounded by his cackling minions. or when dawn breaks over the trees behind my castle.

I hope no one means to imply that you should stop liking a game because it gets tough. i have met my first and second mosquitoes. The first one got me. I got the second one with my ax. It was easy.

Valheim's developers are fond of little jokes; I may take the next one on bare-handed. Swat!

As long as you have a nice round shield to parry as they come in you can then punch them for extra damage. They aren't really that hard unless they catch you unawares.

I love it too, there are big title games coming next year I have been waiting for a while to come out, but, I might give them a miss as not as interested & just play Valheim instead.
