With "work [...] started" I'm referring to the whole dev team focussing and working on Mistlands. Not just one person, in this case mostly Richard, experimenting with ground textures (October 2021) or terrain generation (November 2021). In February 2022, they were more or less done with nailing down the concept of the Mistlands, this got announced too (along with a little concept art). In early March 2022, work fully started on the new biome, Mistlands.

agreed. everytime i come to steam they get my hopes up with another updae, only for it to be some small bug fix, taking 2 years to add a biom is way to long. could atleast add some more building mods and materials for us to grind while we wait just too keep some small interrest in the game but ive only seen 1 of those and thats like a year ago.

I mean maybe despite mistlands they developed a new workflow to create bioms faster. This costs more development time in the first itteration but helps with every other biom. But I am just guessing. I hope it is that way.

Ya, they really need to speed this up. Like this is getting sad, and reflects poorly on the developers.

I've pretty much assumed this game was dusted with how long mistlands is taking they keep doing minor updates which in my opinion could wait until mistlands. The game isn't so buggy you can't play it in fact most of the bugs I never even noticed until its mentioned in the patch notes. I rather them finish this new biome and start patching that than wait any longer and are you sure they started in march 2022 on mist I though its been longer than that.

sounds good but like dam thats ages away, like will valheim even be relevant in that time lol

If you've never played it before then sure. It's not like a MOBA or battle royale that needs an active player base to even play it.

yea ive played it many time and replayed it built many things in many saves but dam i didnt realise when i bought this game that id have to wait years to play more content its such a good game but theres nothing new to do in it XD
