current version 0.209.10 so in steam library right click Valheim /properties and either update or verify files.
either or both should bring local game files up to date.. but regarding servers and multi play you must be same level as server AFAIK GL !

Use the hammer. Its under Misc.

needs 5 stone, wood , and a hammer equipped.

you need to first craft a campfire and then place a cooking station over top it. If you position the cooking stations just right, you can fit 5 cooking stations over 1 campfire.
