First of all, I don’t want to complain about difficulty or lack of tips in the game. I’m experienced player with 2000+ hours in game and I just wanted to share my recent discovery. And maybe suggest that something like this could be implemented in the game for players who don’t want to spend hundreds of hours grinding and building.
I was browsing through nexus webpage and came across a pre-made world called "The Olde Road" . This is well prepared world with a stone road that leads you through all the biomes and prepares you for boss fights. All the biomes have already pre-made bases with some upgrades of workbenches, forges, cauldrons etc. And it all mostly match your current game progress, so you won’t have lvl 5 workbench upgrades in meadows or BF. You will also find some weapons and armors in chests and on item stands in bases so you won’t need to craft it all by yourself. But you will still have to get proper amounts of ores and smelt it if you want to have fully upgraded stuff. There will also be some hidden chests with weapons and armors in bases and chests around the world, as well as some off-route challenges. The world is full of signs that will guide you on your way and give some kind of instructions on your next steps.
Another great concept in this world is that it already has pre-made portal hub with all the portals you will need, but they need to be unlocked from the other side. So, you will have to find the second portal and connect it with the one in portal hub.
The road itself and the builds you will discover on your way are all made by some great builders, so there will be a lot of WOW moments…
I started this recently with two of my friends. We all have more than thousand hours in this game and we find this sooooo refreshing. I noticed we have said “I love this world!” more than hundred times already 😊
Creator(s) of this world recommends to play with “no map” option enabled. I recommend it too. As for the players count - all bases are made with 4 beds.
I wish there are more pre-made world like this (there is already one more that I know of), and I hope something similar will be implemented in the game.
Anyhow, I highly recommend this world to new players, as well to the old players who finished the game but are still looking for something else because they are still not willing to give up on the game.
