Increasing Armour / DPS?
Just wondering if i am on the right track or not.
I currently have
Bronze hat
Bronze chest
Bronze legs
Troll Cape
Bronze Axe
Bronze Shield
Fine Bow
(All level 2 or 3)
I just tried to take on The Elder and got really luckily that he got stuck on a tree so i could just shoot him with arrows with no worries. It too 50 flintwood arrows and 75 fire arrows to kill him.
If he was not stuck on the tree that would have taken forever trying to kite him.
So my question is, is there hugely better gear i need to be aiming for or are bosses meant to be co-op only? It seems all armour/weapon upgrades are only a tiny bit better than the previous one i had.
Any suggestions or tips or are bosses just that hard for a solo player to attempt?

your now going to need to go into the swamp you're going to want to craft a bronze mace maces do more damage to undead enemys level up all your gear to the absolute maximum before even attempting this one oh and craft a barrel to brew poison resistance potions don't bother crafting bronze Arrows they're absolutely pointless

bosses meant to take a while to kill. i think scale is fix for Co-Op.
you can get iron without 2nd boss kill. with good food, u can take on mobs in swamp easily. jsut get posion pots

I find it almost impossible to melee attack bosses, even trolls there damage output is 2-3 hits and im dead so i always use bow/arrow.

I think your upgrading a bit too much, usually bronze armour is very much a skippable tier of armour, atleast for elder. But saying that the gear you have now should def help in swamp just be on your guard and at the least have a portal close to the swamp your exploring, dieing will be inevitable

yeah, if you're solo, always prepare for an epic battle. It could take the whole in game day and through the night, my first Elder fight was like that. Got the killing blow when the sun was coming up lol this game is so fun :)
