Two questions.

I have tried looking for these answers, but I can't find them.

1. Do I need to restart/start a new world to get the new content? For example the Mistlands and Ashlands stuff. Along with the new Swamp enemy update?

2. I am playing on a pretty old world, and I have done a lot of ground work, moved a lot of dirt/cliffs.
Is or was there a command that helps clean up the process' so that my frame rate is a little more stable? I thought I saw a post on this a while back, but it eludes me.

I would hate to start from a new seed and re-exploring everything, but I can also just bring everything I own to the new seed/world.

There are also third party tools for 'unexploring' areas which will likely be updated as the game expands.

From my understanding you don't need a new world but the new content will only be in areas you haven't explored so far.

Open the console (F5) and enter "optterrain"

if everything worked correctly, you will now see messages about how many tiles were optimized and repainted (or that no optimizable tiles were found).

FYI, this is not a map wide command so you'll have to go to the places you want to run the command, hope that helps. =)

Would be great to hear a confirmation on that.

Is there a special way to open it? Pressing F5 does nothing. F2 brings up some info stuff, but nothing I can type into. Also Thank you! I remember reading this somewhere.

Right-click Valheim in your Steam library, select Properties, and find Launch Options under the General tab. In this field, type “-console” (without quotes) to unlock commands in Valheim. Once you load into your world, press F5 to open the console.
