ah yes the addition of new building blocks that look great a magic system with tons of potential a new biome with neat new dungeons to explore new food and farmable ingredients and chickens is totally a fail right guys.

and hey i'm not saying the update is without issues but to call it a failure is just insane.

It's definitely a big step up, kinda like when going into Swamps the first time.

I'm managing, no complaints so far.

That's too bad you feel that way. Fortunately for the future of the game that's a minority opinion. Many find this the hardest biome to break into, but once you do its no more difficult than the others, especially with a little magic on your hip. Plus the fight in the Queen's lair is pretty epic. There's always that Disney survival game...

I don't know why but I just pictured unleashing the Queen in Dreamlight Valley and it was great.

the funny part is the difficulty isnt even increased. if the devs didnt act stupid and released the forge upgrade 3 and 4 by now you would see pretty much the same dmg at the end as other biomes once you maxed out your new gear. but since especially armor is currently pretty much a no upgrade at all due to the lack of the above people claim its too hard or harder. in fact its not. the dmg from the mobs is the same as other biomes just the next level. but the players defenses dont match them like they did before due to the lack of upgrade stations.

this was a seriously bad descision by the devs to leave these out of all the things they could have left out.

i hope they get this memo quickly and add them. trying to balance the mobs more when they themselfs arent even the course of the issue is just not smart.

Yeah, that's basically what I was trying to say, it's completely in line with existing experience. Mistlands is simply on the same curve, just a bit higher up, depending on which iteration of the content we're thinking of at any given time (first iteration, first balance update, the upcoming update currently on PT).

They balanced Mistlands with lv1 padded armor and lv 1 blackmetal weapons. Since Mistlands is a copy of the black forest the most youll get is one more upgrade anyway which is another 6 armor.

The affects of armor are on a diminishing scale anyways, so I don't see how a few more points of armor is going to have much of an affect. The addition of the elemental damage types, though, to the weapons is a big plus, IMO. Health also gets a boost with the new food.

But I guess we can go with "total fail" as well.

Mistlands is great! Having a blast with the wife. The most intense of all the areas and the one with the most content by far.

I'm enjoying the Mistlands. The devs did a good job and truly only have 2 complaints.

-The vertical hit registration needs tweaking.
-Royal jelly needs a source that isn't finite or requires grinding the boss battle. (This is apparently fix'd in the current public test.)

Other than that. Keep up the great job, devs!

also is there a chance that they change the engine i know we have what we have becuase what they were aiming as a art style but just saying i whink we could use a bit less pixelate art style
