MODS?
Why can't I find mods for Valheim on the Stream site like I can for many other games? Will Steam begin hosting these mods?

Currently most/all mods are external .dll files that are inserted into the game through an external third party mod loader named BepInEx. Unfortunately, the Steam Workshop does not really allow for certain kinds of external file types to be included, and as far as I know, .dll is one of them due to the huuuuge risk of abuse. (.dll's can ruin computers pretty easily.)
On top of that, the developers have no intention currently of implementing Official mod support- All mods are used at the players own risk. Given this and the above, it's pretty much a guarantee that Steam Workshop support will never arrive for this particular game.
If you want mods, Gotta get them from external sources like Nexus or Thunderstore.

I don't know what goes on to get Steam workshop to be a thing for some games, but there are many others that don't use it. For those that don't use it, simply find the trusted site that hosts them and learn to mod from there.
For Valheim, I hear Nexusmods has a growing selection.

I know both, but I prefer Nexus, because the Vortex Mod Manager is pretty convenient.

It's not as if external sites like Nexus and thunderstore do no checking on the mods for viruses and malware and the like. I mean, You do you- Don't do external sites if you don't want to. as long as the mods are not included into Workshop through steam and are forced from outside website where anyone can upload anything without any kind of checking from nasty things. No thank you. Rather wait until the game is finished to see if it actually needs modding. Even then only if it's possible to do through Workshop on Steam.
But at the same time, Don't go around acting like they're vile cesspools full of filth and trojans. Else, you might want to just disconnect from the internet entirely since most places have far less protection from those problematic elements than mod repositories like Nexus/Thunderstore.

Download mods on nexus
Put the files in a folder
Wait a week
Check nexus if there was a outcry because someone found bad code in a mod.
if not its 99.99999999% safe
Without that week only 99.9%
You can be sure that people sniff though all that code
Mostly modder to see how someone did something

Official FAQ of devs says they don't play official support for modding
So no steam workshop there
it's exactly the same as those external websites~~
steam workshop only helps to download and install mods without messing with files
doesn't protect you from anything
bad mods are removed from steam workshop only after users start to report, but exactly the same probably happens on external sites
In ARK survival evolved steam workshop there were already mods messing with player's IP :D Took long time to remove them

Thanks for your discussion gents...I think I'll wait a bit to see how the game develops as Semirotta mentioned.

Not true at all, plenty of games of steam workshop mod support that distribute mods as DLLs. It's simply that the devs haven't added workshop support for them. I did that. But I don't like frequent respawn. How can I disable it? By default, the figure is 20-respawn every day. I tried the number 0 and even 200,000. But there is still a respawn(( Creature Level and Loot Control:
