It can also be impossible to fully upgrade a set from a dozen caves. RNGesus. I'm not sure why people who just get lucky assume others don't know how to play :/.

I'd agree the Fenrings out on the mountainside (ie- not in caves) should have at least a chance to drop a hair.

why i started this thread was just to mention that one wolf fang seems a little sparse for a creature as large as a fenring. i mean its 8 foot tall hairy and has claws and fangs. The only usable parts are a single wolf fang? seems a little cheap and unrealistic but it is a fictional game so i mean its all about what the dev's want.

Hot take: we should be able to befriend and trade with them. Possibly even having a cute werewolf boyfriend live in our houses.

I hate having to hurt those big goofy fluffy bois.

There's plenty of Fenris hair to be found in the frost caves; you just need to look around a bit.
Usually it's not only found at pedestals, but also at the tapestries hanging from the walls in some rooms.
If you pick the parts shown to be picked first, jump up, hit with a blunt weapon and quite often the whole tapestry will come down as Fenris hair.

When doing it like that, I was able to farm enough fenris hair for a full armor set as well as all its upgrades from 3 Frost caves. And I still have some left.

So even more hair from drops seems a bit useless to me.

Gonna hope that going to be retconned in at some point be ridiculous not to.

when you enter a frost cave.. kill the cultist.. then the word spreads and the Cultist will hunt you down... in the world and at your bases.. like raids

Might as well ask here since it's a loot drop - Does the Fenring trophy have any other use besides in fishing bait?

they will hunt you i think if your in the mountains

EXACTLY!

They might be hard if they hunted in packs, or their howls encouraged wolves to join in. I thought they were pretty easy.

I would heavily advocate for them dropping fenris hair which is notoriously difficult to farm.

I also wouldn't mind doubling their HP to account for the better loot.
