They do look like pieces of wood even when watching them jump and hit something..

mine have been okay for a couple ingame weeks. I find that they try and jump out to freedom sometimes tho.. or wedge them selves into dumb spots.

I made a pond (was a little bit tricky to get it deep enough) and put some perch in, after 20 days no despawning so far. Haven‘t tried fishing them yet, but i guess it‘ll work.

Smaller fish seem to work best in player made ponds. The big ones just didn't path right and kept looking uncanny. I'm still pretty happy we can do this now tho, it was not reasonably possible before.

Interesting thing is they appear to be "living" haven't tried fishing them out- can't just pick them up. Might be a way to easy level fishing.
