That looks like it's on the coast of the plains, which technically counts as plains.

The nice things about the hunted event is you can normally just run away from it. It's not in your base, and doesn't stick around like an event at your base does.

I encountered one coming out of the mountains recently that I didn't want to deal with, so I just kept going to my sea-side shack. Next morning there were only a couple of remaining wolves and lots of deer meat and such.

Could've been a jutting piece of land that was in plains. It can be a bit wonky when it comes to tiny parcels of environments that can be found in odd places.

Or even just a submerged micro-biome "island". My group's first map had something like that - a Meadows biome, smaller than a workbench control radius, that was entirely deep under water and completely surrounded by lots of Ocean. Same thing, but with Plains, is easily feasible.

Not really, just lead them away from your stuff. I just walked them away from my plains base and tried to scrape them off on every enemy I could find once the event ended.

It has always been like that. Any raids can happen in any biome.

It can happen in Plains or Mountains. If you are getting it in other biomes most likely you have a tiny spit of plains in said biome which causes the event to occur.

edit: Or the radius of said hunt is cutting into other biomes.

The hunted event can literally happen anywhere, no base requirements have to be met for it. It is however, pretty useless, i get them in the plains, the ocean cause i'm near that 1 rock of meadows sticking out of the water, mistlands, i almost never have to fight the wolves, not like they are a threat anyway.

Oh ok, I recall a dev saying back when they released Frost Caves that it was supposed to be mountain biome only. Guess that changed somewhere along the line.

I've been playing on the same sever for the better part of a year, and I only ran across the "You are being Hunted" in the Mountain biome, atleast until mistlands dropped.

just wait till you get a seek raid on your main base . they will destroy everything you worked hard on , 2 of the big seeker destroyed 20 2 star wolfs in one attack . i thought once you kill the boss you dont get raids anymore . that what i thought it suppsoe to be cause raids are dum an none rewarding
