and once the bush is gone, its gone. So avoid fighting near them, esp on the plains where lox aoe can clear a whole patch.

Great tip. I usually mark spawns that have 4 or more. And then I pick a day here and there where I go out and gather shrooms, rasberries, blue berries and thorns all in a go.

It's worth noting that you should pick up berries and mushrooms when ever you pass by them to get maximum time efficiency.
