I just did this recently after hundreds of hours of play. My reaction was a bit emotional also

Turns out F2 has some good info on it for helping keep one's FPS at reasonable levels.

I fixed that problem completely due t this recurrance over and over. Pulled that key off the keyboard. I never use it to begin with (not that it's much use in he first place). it was a win situation all around.

Rebind the action that uses CTRL to something else, or disable the Windows Key while in games or completely.

lol i was trying for my number buttons to switch weapons cause my arrows ran out and my keyboard is small which means the f2 key and #2 key are right next to each other.

Ah, the perils of small keyboards.

Alt-F4 can lead to an unfortunate game ending bug. (i know)

Alt-F3 hides the hud for screenshots. Hence Alt-F2 is for sever information

I find seeing "wwwasdasasasddsdsdwwaswdaswdasd" in chat amusing because it means I am not the only one who has done the chat dance of death.

Many games assign functions to the function keys...that's what the function keys are for. Granted, the info panel is usually on F3, not F2; But it's definitely not abnormal for a function to be on a function key.

As the other guy said, why were your fingers anywhere near the F keys to begin with?

is feeling better than anything better than feeling better than nothing?
