The woodcutting one needs to be permanent while equipped. As a temporary timed buff it's nonsense.

Eikthyr and Moder are the ones I usually have chosen, Eikthyr is great when you need to do alot of running and jumping (fleeing a camp of fulingar for instance) and Moder... well may just be me but when I go sailing it always seems like the wind is always in the wrong direction.

Elder is a grinding buff, you go get it, harvest a bunch of trees and then switch back.

Biomass and Yagluth I have never bothered with ouside of boss fights, Im sure they are usefull but at endgame my deaths are 90% fall damage while building, 8% forgetting I had not eaten and get oneshotted by some hard hitting mob and 2% getting swamped by mobs and getting stuck. The buff is useless in all of those situations anyways.

Random idea: what if elder buff increased all slash damage instead by like 60% or something

Given that the wood cutting buff lasts the same amount of time with the same cooldown but only adds like 20 dmg, it is, for the time being, worthless.

The combat buff is good for tanky builds but me and my friends were sticking to Eikthyr's buff most of the time anyway as running in and out of combat costs a lot of stamina.

Moder's buff is great for sea exploration as has been said above.

to true 3 hit wood breaks any wood any tool

It's awesome for silver in the snow to because uneven ground you are always jumping running. less when you are geared for snow and not using potions i'm about to do Yagluth but might make the new foods first with wind mill and alchemy bench

I switch to the Bonemass power when I get that. Much better in a fight.

Eikthyr is great early on

Moder for sail exploration and transporting ores
Yagluth.... well at that point you are pretty much done, so no point really using it, probably useful for a future update.

Yeah I find Eikthyr is the best, even for combat, because that extra stamina allows you to move in and out of combat much easier so you don't get hit in the first place.
