Had a raid away from my base

So interesting thing happened. I was in solo play in the mountain biom and I just found a ruined stone keep with skeletons around it and it had a skeletal spawner. A stone golem appeared just as I got there and killed all the skeletons and the spawner. I climbed to the top of the tower and just stood there a while.. it was night and I was afking and doing something else at my desk.

Anyway the golem just kept walking back and forth and all of a sudden I got the message that I was being hunted. So wolves appeared and attacked the golem which killed about half of the wolf army before it was killed, and then I just used my bow to kill the rest from the top of the stone wall.

The funny thing was that ruin was not my base. I did not set up any work station I just happened to be hanging out there for a little while.

I thought raids could only happen at your base? or did this change?

This is true. It's a very, very good idea to always be prepared for trouble. And to never overestimate oneself or underestimate dangers.

I had one of those wolf hunts like two minutes after entering Mountains the other day, and the Bonemass power was most likely the only reason I survived despite having upgraded silver gear, top-tier (for that biome) food, and health & stamina mead. 10+ wolves is no joke, and the beasts can climb better than most creatures.

So far I've only been hunted while in a Mountain biome, but it's not been that long since I defeated Bonemass.

This! It's also the main reason why you should also keep the Bonemass power selected and available at all times. Between "You are being Hunted" (Wolf army) and "The Horde is attacking" (Fulings..), you're gonna need Bonemass and some Health/Stamina pots on you at all times at this point.

Honestly, I wish the raids would give players at least 60 to 120 seconds to prepare before happening, just so you aren't caught with your pants down and lose hours of progress on a whim. The death punishment is fine, but trying to explore a new area (Plains, for example) becomes more of a hassle than fun, when at any point you could have a legion of Wolves or Fuling up your arse before you even know what's happening.

"You are being hunted" is a event that can happen anywhere in the world its not a raid, the other event is with skeletons in force coming for you :)
