Yeah, I'm kinda scratching my head as to why you wouldn't place down a portal before you took off. How did you plan on getting back to the Forsaken Stones to change your buff powers?

In the Black Forest there are towers and other stone structures that often will have boxes or barrels you can break to find stuff. RNG drops so you probably won't find any since you want it.

You probably want finewood and cores for portals. Outside of the Meadows and Plains you need to get lucky with stone tower furniture and shipwrecks for finewood.

You need 4 surtling cores, 40 fine wood, and 20 greydwarf eyes to make a pair of portals (can't teleport without a second one =p)

Every portal only connects to one other portal and they both need to be named the same thing, so if you want a portal from your base to the swamp you'll have to name them both "ass" or something else.

I have heard of people being able to connect 4 portals all with the same name buuuut I haven't tried it and I found that on the wiki so for all I know someone was trolling (or it is just outdated or something.)

In any case, find a shoreline near some meadows and you'll find flint, if you are unsure about if an area will have flint you can also look for any Necks (they spawn in the same area) and that'll be a good spot for it.

Also, if you are reeeeaaally lucky you may find a marsh-like meadow (not an actual biome name, just discription) with lots of shallow pools/flint/necks. =p

Only in Meadows near bodies of water does it spawn naturally.

The other choice is to sneak into Fuling villages and destroy the Tanning Racks for 5 flint each.
