strange I'm lefty as well... everything I do is by my left hand, but I use right hand for the mouse.
and about programmable mouse, even the cheapest ones comes with software to change binding to anything, for example dirt cheap Modecom SHINOBI you can change every button on this mouse and it's designed to fit right and left.
The expensive ones lasted a few months before they broke

I'm a big fan of cheap, consumer-grade mice as well; the kind that are made by the "house brand" of the local big-box store are relatively rugged, and the price is a clincher. Even though they die on a regular basis, they're still worlds better than the "pro-gamer quality" equipment when one factors in useful lifetime vs price. I'd rather pay $30 twice a year than $90 once a year... especially when the $90 model is typically a twice-per-year purchase, too.

thank you very much for your response. i´m retired veteran and can wait but can´t play without left hand support it should go to live branch this week. been on the ptb for a decent amount now. but the new console crossplay terrian bug is pesky to fix apparently. and they need to get that one before it goes out. as that bug is seed breaking material sadly.

With the engine update planned for this one, will it break BepInEx and popular mods like the last one?
That's more or less the consequence of trying to mod a game while it's still being made. Honestly, I would have recommended not modding the game until the game actually hits 1.0, since there's never any guarantee that current mods will survive all the way to 1.0

Get a properly programmable mouse. That issue is an OS issue, anyway.
Programmable mice for lefties tend to be more expensive since there are fewer choices in what to buy. Even worse if you need an ergonomic one. And it worked fine before the update. Most games do follow window's settings, and the ones that don't get complained at quickly.
Anyway, you can roll back your game to before the update by selecting default_old in betas from the side menu.
