Yeah, and a couple more. I hope they will add mods to steam workshop once the game is finished.

I really feel sorry for you. I never had any bad experiences on my servers. We add one player at the time and we have some kind of an interview with new members before they join. If they say their mic is broken or cannot talk at the moment, I simply tell them to let me know when they fix it. They most likely don't have good intentions if they are not willing to talk. Maybe they are hiding their childish voice :)
We had 2 of them in our discord server and as soon as they found out they will not be allowed to play without talking to us first, they showed their real face.

As I said, use servercharacters mod. There is no other solution against this kind of players. They can still make a mess, but they won't be able to do something that will mess up the whole world progression.

Of course there is a log on dedicated servers.

Most server providers (i used G-portal for example) have the log on the dashboard.
Did the host have the server on his own machine or rented from a provider?

Well this is overdramatized, especially for an issue that your server host has direct ability to address. The only players that can get on a dedicated server are those that know the password (assuming you use one--if not, wow) and the players aren't posting it around where others can see it.

Pretty sure players aren't leaving because they have a host who can't properly protect the server or who has players that don't keep the password secure. They may be leaving that particular server but leaving the game? Sure, ok.

Play your own dedicated server or just play with friends.

-devcommands and then -resetkeys typed BY THE SERVER OWNER should do the trick.

what is wrong is that the person that rents the server was not at the boss fight.. nobody of the core group actually was, it was done in a sneaky way without anyone knowing

but this is not really about what is wrong, but it is more a request to add a feature to the game files to have a player log on dedicated servers also
(on local games you can find a player.log file in there you can trace back every item placed or removed and even trees and earth moved if im correct, but before i was with a dedicated server and we could not find such a file)

and ofcourse we use passwords etc, but it seems that these days even people from the gaming community cant be trusted anymore........ pff. back in the day you used to be a bit smart to fix your computer and make games work on it, most gamers were nerds and often people that ment no harm to others.

but today everyone can be a gamer i guess.

I don't get what is wrong here.

the players may have gone through the end game but a) the world was new and they wanted to go through the bosses and hang the trophies together, b) the world was new and the base wasn't ready for the raids that advanced or c) it was supposed to be a creative world where they can build and explore without worrying about raids that are triggered by hanging the trophies or d) any number of other reasons people shouldn't be a ♥♥♥♥ on a cooperative game

Put a password on the server to avoid random players who don´t know that this world is for building and chilling only.
