Wife and I thought we were losing our minds. Keep opening a chest and just throwing stuff to the ground because it opens like personal inventory instead of the chest.

Ha. I lobbed my circlet out the window of our cliffside castle and somewhere into the river below. Had to get someone else throwing rocks the same way so I could track where it landed.

they know about the bug and will fix it. It's nothing gamebreaking, annoying as it is.

Same here while playing in my friend's hosted game. Never had this bug prior to this recent patch, nor does it happen in my own single player world.

Correct. It only occurs when more than one player is on and trying to access (different) chests at the same time, in the same vicinity.

When only one person is on, this does not occur.

When more than one player is on, but only one person is opening cheses, this does not occur.

What happens if you destroy and remake the chest?

Same problem here. Thought I was just pressing tab instead of E, but no, it's definitely broken since the last update. On my dedicated server with 2 people playing.

Yes, known issue with multiple people on at the same time.
