You have given precious little information in order to troubleshoot.

Having ran closed betas in the past, im going to guess you're one of the (surprisingly common) users who tried to use the code like a game-key.

This is not a game key. It is a beta access code. If you went "Games"->"Activate Product on Steam" then go back to the post and RTFM. If not that then idk, make sure you dont have any whitespace in your copy/paste.
