The terrain and the fact that you cant see for the mist... i start today explore mistlands and the feeling of frustration is constant

The stamina is quickly spent trying to climb the rocks

The worst thing is the issue of not seeing anything...

I don't understand how this has passed the tests and tests in the public realm

Are people masochistic or what is happening?

Edit: you have to add the fall damage, which from what I've seen they have added an effect or spell to mitigate it, but even so...it's not fun

I started to take off my armour to make it easier to climb the mountains.
Not that should have to be a thing.

The severity of the mist could be nerfed, most of the times the seekers will spot you before you can even see them. The seekers themselves could be either less damaging or have less hp. Once you get more then one, it's not possible to get behind them and deliver proper damage. They gang up on you, specially in the mines and if you get out and come back, they are waiting for you right at the entrance. Sick of dying, over and over, and going stealth all the time just makes the game boring.

They've already made some changes to seeker behavior and many other things on the PT branch.

For the visibility issues have you captured a wisp and made wisp lights? For the fall damage you will want to have the Feather Cape that negates fall damage.

The area is meant to be difficult and I do get peoples frustrations but 90% of the threads complaining about the zone are going in way to early. You need to upgrade your armor and weapons. The buff from Yagluth is also useful as it gives you ele resistance but its not necessary.

Found my first infested mine, easy 20 corpses in it, still haven't found any cores, and you moan about the terrain, sheesh

My experience is closer to this as well lol but it does highlight how each player can have a different kind of experience.

Unsure if the terrain generation is meant to be this way, but I have noticed that the Mistlands don't contain many large patches of land to traverse properly on. Even when exploring with the feather cape I find myself get annoyed with the terrain quite often. Maybe even going as far as feeling a bit broken in how it is generated.

There are separate "regions" generated within the biome, not unlike how plains or meadows have forests and fields and the like. In mistlands the splintered coastline probably presents the biggest navigational challenge, but there are also "normal" regions as well as valleys that are entirely free of mist which should appear in darker hues on your map.

Oh, I'm aware. Personally from what I have seen in about 3 worlds so far is that the proper traversable land where you'll find most structures doesn't show up as often. As in, to me it feels like the rocky outskirts are far more prevalent, leaving you only with small patches to actually explore. This could just totally be on me though, or maybe I have been very unlucky with my map generations so far.

You are entitled to your opinion, but your opinion is fundamentally a wrong one. The old Mistlands template was dull and way too similar to other biomes. What we have now, is WAAAAAY cool, diverse, and exciting.

But you NEED the feather cape. Without it, don't bother. :)

Idk if old mistlands concept would be better, but i for sure would prefer to have Svartalfr as main mob or atleast as extra mob, and more insect and dvegr variants. It would be fun to have widows crawling in the mist at nights.

Follow the grass and foliage. It doesn't grow on steep slopes leading nowhere.
