So me and friend died in a dwarven basement and now it is quite literally impossible to retrieve our gear - I enjoy a challenge, but there's no recovering from dying in this location.

There's no stairs because they were all destroyed in the fighting and the basement has 3 mages in it.

Once the mages go aggro, they never lose their aggression, even after a sleep or server restart so there goes hundreds of hours of progress on items.
