Same here. Doing 60% more damage to wood for 5 minutes is ok, but extremely limited in use, and by the time you get it right before the iron age where it's not that hard to chop trees anyway. I would MUCH rather keep Eithkyr or Bonemass ready.

I think a better ability wold be to make wood weightless for 5 minutes. That would also let you do much larger wood runs when you're actively lumbering, AND it would also be useful when you're NOT lumbering but need to carry a heavy load and would otherwise have to drop whatever wood you're carrying.

Does the elder power also improve axe combat, or just chopping wood? It seems like when I use the power I can chop wood a little bit faster and also kill greydwarves a little bit faster with the axe too... but very little better for both... very little. Kind of useless I agree.

Hugin told you about that. And also there is "Press F". Did you put your trofey on the Starting Stone Hange location stone?

if they buffed the elder powerbuff to include faster mining then it MIGHT be a useful buff and even then you can just juke a troll to mine most of i.e a copper node for you so eh.
otherwise imo you're better off using eikthyr or bonemass buff.

The Elder's power isn't great, but it can be useful. If you're doing a lot of building or smelting, and you plant your own tree farm, then using the Elder's power to clear cut 50 or 100 trees is helpful. That's really the only reason to use it.

The 4th power is only helpful when you need it (no spoilers). It's very powerful when you need it, and useless when you don't. Think of the Elder's power the same way. Eikthyr's power is more practical. There's almost never a time in the game where reducing stamina use from sprinting isn't at least a little beneficial. The 3rd power is the most powerful, but you shouldn't need it most of the time, and the 5th power has no real point yet.

All I am saying is the game tells you exactly what that power is and how to activate it.

The Elders power is only really useful if you're doing some clear cutting, to be frank.

I prefer the Power of Eikthyr!

Ubizon is right.

It has to do with the trophies (from your description 2) you put on the stones at the spawn.

So far you have 2.

As you unlock those, you will get more choices to switch to and from. 20 minutes cooldown after power use.

Its your powers you unlock after every boss fight. Each Boss unlocks different power buffs.Press F to activate it

At the boss stones you can pick the power you want. press "E" on the boss stone. Eikthyr = 60% less run/jump stamina usage, Elder = faster wood cutting buff.

And as Cap said : "F" to activate the power, its active for 5 minutes, with a 20 min cooldown.

Not spoiling the rest ;)
