I found four Krakens in a group
I encountered this, and mined 110 of the barnacles before they submerged. Was I insanely lucky, or is this a thing that happens? I wish I'd taken a screen shot now. The seed is egh867DnE9, if anyone cares. I don't know how to nail down the location. Coordinates from a console command, maybe?

you can find them as such not very common. i have seen as many as 10-ish somewhat aligned on the reader. But much smaller groups is typical. Consider yourself lucky, make a throw-away copy and go back....

Think I have seen as many as 6 next to each other. Some were practically touching.

They tend to group up in the autumn every year. Some kind of mating ritual.
