I like elements of Valheim such as the boat exploration / travelling, which is a blast. Plus I recently fought the second Valheim boss and thought it was absolutely fantastic. (So credit to the small team of devs, it's great work.)

However for pretty much everything else I prefer mighty Conan. Playing Valheim solo feels like a grinding chore / clicker game (never played one... just read very bad things). Also the world of Conan felt a lot more interesting to explore, build and fight in... although I'm yet to see many areas of Valheim. The biomes I have seen are largely endless repetition. My viking mostly runs through the forest, collecting sticks and berries, with tree branches constantly hitting him in the face.

I put several hundred hours into Conan before losing interest. Valheim it was fifty. But, you know, Valheim is currently about $20, so it's been a lot of fun overall and well worth the money.

Can't compare it to the games you mentioned; never played those.

Great world to get lost in... to "live" in.
