Use of low-level resources in high-level biomes
I'm not very advanced in game, and it looks like you hardly need resources from the Meadows when you are exploring the Swamps, etc, except for some emergency food if you are depleted, and a Meadow is nearby. Also, wood and stone are everywhere.
The game tries and forces a very little, yet welcome, overlapping (stone/flint, copper/bronze) intra-biome, and that's all (I might be wrong).
What do you think about current and possible better interactions between low-level biomes and high-level biomes, resources wise? Should there be more of them, or it's just fine to use low-level biomes for wood and stone?

In the end, it's the complications that add character to a games experience. I would like to think there is a use for copper/iron/silver in almost everything. Especially as you advance to crystal. Tin/Bronze not so much. Different Woods, I think translate well into more complex versions of existing furniture. But in reality I find no practical reason to over complicate that side of things. Fauna, meats for more complex foods, absolutely. Hides for more complex clothes, I feel its the same position as furniture.

I have noticed that, especially with regards to food, you basically move past a previous resource and then it becomes effectively worthless. Which is very unfortunate. I think the more advanced recipes should still include the lower level materials (because honestly, most recipes could use something like carrots, for example, as a staple vegetable), and older gear should be able to be upgraded to keep up a bit with higher gear, so you have more options.

i would like raspberry to be usefull in mid/ late game food recipes. Currently its value is very limited as we stop using it ( at least " i do" ) as soon as we find a few queen bees.
The same way they just gave some new use to the greydwarf eyes with the "eyescream" recipe.

I find lower tier food useful when doing mundane things like base modifications or resource gathering.
Why waste a higher tier food unless going out against higher tier mobs or bosses?

While this is true, the fact of the matter is that I produce so much of the best food I can craft that I don't usually have to consider using weaker foods. At most I might munch on a carrot from my farm while working on it for a small stamina boost, but in terms of actual recipes and cooked foods, I have plenty enough for even mundane things.
